Superb African value and quality – in one of Africa’s most awesome and crime free countries.

Namibia – Africa’s best kept secret

In all respects Namibia represents everything Africa has become loved for – spectacular nature – from the tropical Caprivi, to the dunes at Sossusvlei to the Kalahari to bushveld to savanna plains, only 2.1 million inhabitants, one of the lowest violent crime countries in the world, no racial tension, superb infrastructure, a vibrant economy, complete ease of doing business, and a part of the global village in every respect.

Namibia is probably the intellectual counter balance to much of the negative sentiments surrounding much of sub-Sahara Africa today. It is offers everything one would expect from Africa, but without the political turmoil, disease, shortages and pessimism. Our politicians are well respected, our country and economy is stable, and Windhoek - the capital is a mere 2 hours flying from Johannesburg and Cape Town. Furthermore daily flights connect Windhoek to Luanda, Gatwick and Frankfort.

Many South Africans (and folks from further abroad) are warming to the phenomenal place called Namibia, and furthermore to its investment opportunities pertaining to property. One such fantastic place is Finkenstein Nature Estate – just 16 kilometers to the east of Windhoek CBD, o the B6 highway that connects Hosea Kutako International Airport with the capital city.

Finkenstein Nature Estate – the epitome of logic

Finkenstein Nature and Equestrian Estate consists of 222 own title erven with sizes ranging from 5,100 to 16,500 square meters. The average plot size on Finkenstein is 9,200 square meters. The development forms part of a magnificent nature estate that is bordered by the B6 highway on one side and the majestic Auas Mountains on the other. No less than nineteen species of antelope roam the estate, on the managed game park which forms part of the Finkenstein development.  All infrastructure developments have been completed – inclusive of tarred roads, guard house, water reservoir, electricity and security fence around the residential part of the estate. Some houses are already under construction.

Apart from complete privacy and superb security, Finkenstein Nature Estate offers many recreational attractions like an equestrian center, riding trails, hiking trails, mountain biking and numerous community centers. Bearing in mind that the Estate is a mere 15 kilometers from Windhoek CBD, and that traffic congestion is something the average Namibian only see on TV and in newspapers, travel to and from town takes no more than 10 minutes on the wide B6 highway!

Affordability redefined

In every imaginable respect Finkenstein offers everything one would expect from a world class development on and exclusive nature estate – with one very noticeable difference: Price.
A superficial inquiry into the average price of erven in Windhoek will reveal that a typical plot in a good area in the ballpark range of 1,000 square meters will sell for R850,000 to R1,000,000.  On Finkenstein prices range between R500,000 and R950,000 per plot! Not surprisingly – almost 70% of the plots have already been sold to discerning investors and city dwellers – local and international - who is opting for a vastly superior quality of life, in one of Africa’s most stable and attractive countries.

Aussie, New Zealand, Canada – or Namibia?

Quite understandably – many brow-beaten South Africans are opting out. There is no reason to dwell on the magnitude of reasons. All are valid in their own respect. However, it remains safe to say that most that do leave, do so with a heavy heart. Africa is home. It has an allure and attraction and potential second to none.

In that respect alone, Namibia deserves a very close second look. Think about it: Proximity to South Africa, virtually violent crime free, politically stable, breathtakingly beautiful, world class infrastructure, hospitals, malls, private schools of international standard… And Finkenstein – the most affordable, magnificent nature estate development on the continent.
